Understand the service before you book
Ordinary rinsing does not reach every part of the inner eyelid. Rinsada is used to irrigate beneath the lids and may form part of a management plan for selected dry-eye, blepharitis, allergy-related or ocular-surface concerns after assessment.
*Full fee is paid first. The usual Medicare rebate shown by the clinic is approximately $34; eligibility and final rebate can vary.

When might Rinsada be considered?
Watery, itchy or irritated eyes can have several causes. The assessment helps determine whether eyelid irrigation is a reasonable option.
Your eyes remain irritated despite ordinary rinsing or basic home care.
Assessment suggests material beneath the eyelids may be contributing.
You have dry eye, blepharitis or allergy-related irritation.
The optometrist recommends irrigation alone or alongside another treatment.

A short treatment within a wider plan
Rinsada currently takes about 10–15 minutes and may be delivered as a stand-alone treatment or combined with other care.
- 1
Clarify the problem
The optometrist considers your symptoms and examines the eye surface and eyelids.
- 2
Irrigate beneath the lids
The treatment flushes material from areas that ordinary surface rinsing may not reach.
- 3
Review what comes next
The clinic explains whether further treatment, home care or review may be appropriate.

ⓘ How the pricing works (Medicare, rebates, eligibility)
The large figure is the typical gap after the usual Medicare rebate. The full clinic fee is paid upfront, then the eligible rebate is claimed at the front desk. The clinic fee and typical rebate are shown beside each price. Eligibility and the final rebate can vary depending on your Medicare history, so if you would like your exact figure confirmed first, call us on 03 4243 3344. Glasses and contact lenses are quoted separately.
